Our Beliefs

Based on the Word of God

God the Father

We believe in one God, Creator of heaven and earth; Spirit, Light, Love, and Truth; eternal, almighty, infallible, and unchangeable, infinitely wise, just, and holy, and that God eternally exists and manifests Himself to us in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 19:1-6; 139; Matthew 3:16-17; Revelation 1:8).

God the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the eternal Word manifested in flesh. We believe that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is true God and true man. We believe in His vicarious, substitutionary and redeeming death, Christ receiving in Himself the penalty of man's sin. We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension and in His personal, imminent and pre-millennial return for His redeemed ones, followed by His coming in glory to judge the rebellious and to establish His millennial reign (John 1:1,14, 8:58; Colossians 1; Hebrews 7, 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 20).

God the Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, in His personality, that He is God; and we believe that His work is to convict men of sin; to regenerate, indwell and set the believer apart to a holy life; to keep and empower the believer day by day. We believe that He is the teacher of God's Word and the Guide for the daily life (John 16:8-15; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 8).

God’s Word

We believe that the whole Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings, and is the supreme and final authority in faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12).

Man

We believe that man, having been created pure and in the image of God, is by his own sin fallen from grace, and we believe that in consequence, all have sinned, are guilty and lost, and absolutely incapable of saving themselves by their own works, being dead in their trespasses and sins. We also believe that any decisions to change, alter or modify God’s will in gender, relationships or marriage are part of man’s brokenness that leads to despair. This is not to say that those with homosexual desires cannot be committed followers of Jesus Christ as they commit their life and chastity to His Lordship (Genesis 2:18; Lev.18:22; Matthew 19:4-9; Ephesians 5:31-33; Genesis 1:26-28; 5:1; Ecclesiastes 7:29; Psalms 1:1-3; 128:1-4; Romans 1:21-22, 26-27; James 1:13-15)

Marriage

We believe marriage is an institution established by God consisting of one man and one woman without exception. It is a relationship sustained through enduring love and commitment for the purposes of completion (oneness), companionship and procreation. It is intended to be permanent as well as the priority relationship within the family context. Marriage is the only context in which love may be freely expressed through sexual intimacy. To be sexually active prior to or outside of marriage is out of step with God’s design, will and order for purity in marriage and is sin. As it is ordained by God as one man and one woman, marriage is not subordinate to the laws and whims of men who impose new definitions for marriage in order to accommodate lifestyles that are inconsistent with Scripture (Gen. 2:18-25; Eph. 5:22-33; Titus 2:4; Ps. 127:3-4; Matt. 19:4-8; 1 Cor. 7:2-5, 9; Heb.13:4; Ex. 20:17; Prov. 5:18-20).

Ordinances

We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the Lord's Supper to commemorate His death till He comes. We believe that Water Baptism is a symbol of the believer's union with Christ in His death and in His resurrection (Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 11).

Resurrection

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, eternal life to the saved, and judgment with everlasting punishment to the lost (1 Corinthians 15:12- 34; Revelation 20:11-15).

Salvation

We believe that we are saved solely by grace, through faith in the blood sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Therefore, commissioned by Christ to share the good news of our salvation to the world (John 3; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 8:37-39; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Matthew 28:19-20).

Satan

We believe that Satan is a created being, the author of the fall, constantly at war with the saints, and that he shall be eternally punished (Ezekiel 28-29; Ephesians 6; Revelation 20:7-10).

Security

We believe in the eternal security and everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the eternal judgment and punishment of all who reject our Lord Jesus Christ: "This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the Lake of Fire" (John 10:28-29; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Rev. 20:14, 15).

The Church

We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is composed solely of those who have been redeemed and washed in His Blood, and regenerated and sealed by the Holy Spirit, and that they are saved to serve; and that it is the responsibility and privilege of all who are saved to seek to win others to Christ, to the "uttermost part of the earth"; that they must seek to live a holy life, to separate themselves from and forsake all that might dishonor God or cast discredit on His cause, or weaken their testimony (Ephesians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12-14; 1 Peter 1:16).
